The busbar trunking system manufacturer will now explain the structural strength and features of busbar trunking systems.

The design of the overall structural strength of busbar trunking systems must ensure that, under failure conditions, the system remains deformation-free while withstanding both electromagnetic forces and thermal stresses. Additionally, it must guarantee sufficient electrical clearance and creepage distance between the busbar trunking and live conductors, and ensure safe operational performance under both normal and heavy mechanical loads. Normal mechanical load—consider the weight of the busbar trunking unit itself as well as the weights of the feeder and tap-off units.

Learn about the technological trends in fire-resistant cables and wires in one minute.

The degradation temperature of fire-resistant cables and wires is significantly higher than that of conventional PVC and PE materials. For example, the decomposition temperature of typical PVC materials is around 160 degrees Celsius, whereas the decomposition temperature of CMP-grade cable jackets made with fluorine-based materials can exceed 400 degrees Celsius—far higher than the decomposition temperature of standard PVC materials, which is approximately 160 degrees Celsius.

Why are flexible fire-resistant cables so popular? You’ll find out once you read this!

Flexible fire-resistant cables, also known as "inorganic mineral-insulated cables," are characterized by their flexibility and ease of installation compared to mineral-insulated cables, and they are currently experiencing rapid growth in China.

In just three minutes, get to know everything about fire-resistant cables!

Fire-resistant cables are copper-core, copper-sheathed cables with magnesium oxide insulation. Compared to flame-retardant and fire-resistant cables used in construction, they better meet the comprehensive requirements of fire protection systems for cables. This article primarily introduces the performance and applications of fire-resistant cables from the perspectives of insulation resistance, electrical strength, heat resistance, current-carrying capacity, mechanical properties, and fire-resistance characteristics.

What is a mineral-insulated fire-resistant cable?

Mineral-insulated fire-resistant cables are composed entirely of inorganic materials—copper metal and magnesium oxide powder. By their very nature, these cables cannot burn or contribute to combustion without first igniting themselves. Copper has a melting point of 1083°C, while magnesium oxide has a melting point of 2800°C. Therefore, these cables are truly fire-resistant; even under fire conditions close to copper’s melting point, they can continue to supply power.
