Waterproof busbar trunking The manufacturer will now explain the structural strength and features of busbar trunking systems.
Waterproof busbar trunking Manufacturer: Structural Strength and Characteristics of Busbar Trays
The design of the overall structural strength of busbar trunking systems must ensure that, under failure conditions, the system can withstand the effects of electromagnetic forces and thermal stresses without deforming. It must also guarantee sufficient electrical clearance and creepage distance between the busbar trunking and live conductors, and ensure that the system remains in a safe operational state under both normal and heavy mechanical loads.
Normal mechanical load—consider the weight of the busbar trunking unit itself, as well as the weights of the feeder and tap-off units. For heavy-duty mechanical loads, an additional special mechanical load equivalent to the weight of one person (90 kg) is added on top of the normal mechanical load. This additional load is agreed upon between the user and the manufacturer. In addition to the above requirements, the new standard also introduces thermal resistance requirements for stress conditions that may arise during handling, storage, and other similar operations. Specifically, busbar trunking systems intended for normal mechanical loads must be tested with a mass at least four times the unit length’s nominal mass. If the busbar trunking system is designated for heavy-duty mechanical loads, it must be tested with a mass at least four times the unit length’s nominal mass plus an additional 90%. Busbar trunking systems that have undergone testing and verification shall meet the following safety criteria: They must maintain their original degree of protection (the enclosure must not crack or deform); during and after the test, the protective circuit must continue to function properly; electrical clearances and creepage distances must comply with the specified requirements without causing deformation when inserting or removing units.
Waterproof busbar trunking Manufacturer: Structural Features of Busbar Trays
1. Strong heat dissipation capability
In a compact busbar system, the phases and phase conductors are tightly integrated with the enclosure, enabling it to withstand significant electrical and thermal stresses. The heat generated by the conductive bars can be dissipated rapidly, resulting in a high current-carrying capacity. The connections utilize insulated bolts for secure fastening and employ dual copper busbars, effectively increasing the contact area of the joints and substantially reducing temperature rise at the connections.
2. Next-generation eco-friendly products
The conductive busbars of the compact busbar trunking system are encased in flame-retardant, cross-linked polyethylene heat-shrink sleeves, offering excellent insulation performance and emitting no toxic gases when exposed to fire.
3. Flexible wiring
The plug-in interface of the compact busbar trunking system is flexible and convenient, allowing for a large number of outlets to be installed. It boasts strong versatility, and when adjusting the position of electrical equipment, there’s no need to modify the power supply system.
Waterproof busbar trunking Manufacturer: Precautions for Busbar Trunking Wiring
(1) When cable trays are used for indoor wiring, the cables should not be made of jute or other flame-retardant materials.
(2) When selecting cable trays for wiring in corrosive or particularly humid environments, appropriate protective measures should be adopted according to the specific corrosive medium, and cables with plastic sheaths should be used.
(3) The height of cable tray (or duct) equipment from the ground should generally not be less than 2.50 m. When the equipment is installed in a straight line, the portion below 1.80 m from the ground must be protected by a metal cover plate, unless the equipment is laid in a dedicated electrical room (such as a switchgear room, electrical shaft, or technical floor, etc.).
(4) When several cable trays are arranged parallel to equipment at the same elevation, the distance between adjacent cable trays should take into account protection and maintenance requirements.
