Why are flexible fire-resistant cables so popular? You’ll find out once you read this!

Flexible Fire-resistant cable Also known as “inorganic mineral-insulated cables,” these cables feature greater flexibility and ease of installation compared to mineral-insulated cables, and are currently experiencing rapid growth in China.

  I. Advantages of Flexible Fire-Resistant Cables

  1. Flexibility: Utilizing the mature twisting technology for cable conductors, this product boasts both excellent resistance to mechanical shocks and exceptional flexibility for bending. This eliminates the common challenges associated with designing and installing rigid mineral-insulated cables—such as cumbersome terminal connections and issues related to delivery lengths.

  2. Low Smoke: Smoke emission tests conducted according to IEC 1034 show that, under specified conditions, the cable and optical fiber cables tested in accordance with GB/T 17651.2-1998 achieved a light transmittance of over 80% (the standard requirement is 60%).

  3. Halogen-Free: The insulation and sheathing of mineral cables are made entirely of inorganic materials, completely devoid of conventional PVC. Consequently, under fire conditions, they do not emit acidic gases. According to the GB/T17650.2-1998 test for gases emitted during combustion of materials introduced into cables, the pH value can reach above 5.0 (the standard requirement is above 4.3), and the electrical conductivity is approximately 1.0 (the standard requirement is 10.0).

  4. Temperature resistance: Flexible Fire-resistant cable It can operate continuously at an ambient temperature of 125°C, unlike low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant cables with a rated temperature of only 125°C.

  5. Corrosion-resistant: Uses inorganic materials, so no additional measures are required during installation.

  6. High mechanical strength: YTTW(BTTE), NG-A(BTLY), RTTZ mineral-insulated cables Fire-resistant cable The jacket has a high melting point and exhibits high mechanical impact resistance under fire conditions. The BBTRZ non-metallic flexible insulated fire-resistant cable, thanks to the special properties of its insulation layer material, can form a honeycomb-like rigid structure within the insulation layer when exposed to combustion, effectively resisting external mechanical impacts.

  7. Length can be customized: This series features flexible mineral insulation. Fire-resistant cable Therefore, the cable tray can be bent into a circular configuration for packaging. This fundamentally determines the virtually unlimited length of its manufacture. As a result, during the manufacturing process, the factory can supply products precisely according to the design lengths specified by the customer.

  8. Stability of Insulation Performance: Due to the infinite length of the product, there’s no need to consider connectors when installation lengths fall short. The fewer connectors used, the higher the insulation performance and the lower the likelihood of exposure to moisture. Traditional BTTZ joints are particularly susceptible to moisture.

II. Flexibility Fire-resistant cable Scope of services

  1. Power supply for fire-fighting equipment in various buildings, power supply for fire-resistant elevators, etc.

  2. Supply power to the equipment and lighting systems of important buildings or buildings with high population density.

  3. Places with high ambient temperatures (such as steel mills, smelters, glass factories, etc.)

  4. Important locations prone to fire and explosion, such as petrochemical facilities and coal mine equipment power supplies.

  5. Hospitals, food factories, and other places that require special cleaning and sanitation.

  6. Power supply for critical military, national defense, and aerospace satellite base equipment.

  7. Power supply for critical equipment in power plants and nuclear power stations.
