China’s Electrical Appliance Capital—Qinshan Eco-Wire

 

At the start of 2016, Qingshan Cable launched a cutting-edge new product—the Eco-Wire—onto the market with great fanfare. This new product boasts three unique features that set it apart from conventional wires: 1. Copper wires that never turn black—thanks to a special coating on the copper surface, these wires won't oxidize and turn black when exposed to moisture or in environments contaminated by acidic, alkaline, or saline mists. This ensures 100% conductivity at all times. 2. Low-smoke, halogen-free, and non-toxic insulation. While ordinary PVC wires emit thick black smoke and release hydrogen chloride when burned, this low-smoke, halogen-free wire achieves a light transmittance rate of 90% when burning and contains no halogens at all. In the event of a fire in high-rise buildings or hotels, this feature facilitates easier evacuation and enables firefighters to extinguish the blaze more quickly, thereby reducing primary and secondary injuries. 3. The "Plastic King"—a material used in aerospace applications. The outer jacket is made of Teflon, known in Chinese as "Te Fulong." This material is highly resistant to burning (with an oxygen index of 90) and possesses six remarkable properties: (1) Temperature resistance—from -80°C to 260°C without deformation; (2) Excellent abrasion resistance (showing outstanding wear resistance even under heavy loads); (3) Exceptional corrosion resistance (virtually immune to chemical attack—even strong acids like aqua regia cannot erode it); (4) Superior water-repellent properties (the surface resists water, oils, and solutions, and can be easily cleaned with a simple wipe); (5) Outstanding lubricity (with a friction coefficient ranging only between 0.05 and 0.15); (6) Non-stick characteristics (used as a coating for baking trays in food ovens).
