Features of Waterproof Busbar Trays and Construction Precautions

Waterproof busbar trunking Characteristics: In terms of performance, busbar trunking systems employ copper or aluminum busbars, which feature high current density, low resistance, and minimal skin effect. As a result, there’s no need to reduce the rated capacity for operation, and the small voltage drop translates into reduced energy losses, thereby saving users investment costs. The metal-sealed enclosure of waterproof busbar trunking systems provides protection against mechanical damage and animal intrusion. The plug-in unit installation method used in distribution systems ensures safety, and the entire enclosure can be reliably grounded. The busbars on the installation surface consist of numerous short, lightweight segments, allowing installation to be completed swiftly with just a few workers. Moreover, the busbars are stocked with many standard components, enabling rapid delivery and significantly reducing on-site work time. By utilizing optimized busbar trenches, it’s possible to integrate certain branch circuits and convert them into larger busbar sections via plug-in boxes, simplifying the electrical system and achieving multiple lower-current paths. This approach not only reduces engineering costs but also facilitates maintenance. For scalable busbar systems, system expansion can be accomplished simply by adding or modifying a few segments, offering high reusability.

Plug-in switch box (The plug-in switch box can be connected to air-type busbars without the need for additional components. The pins are critical parts, stamped from copper alloy and subjected to heat treatment to enhance their elasticity. They are also tin-plated on the surface, ensuring stable contact performance even after more than 200 insertions. To ensure reliable grounding, the box is equipped with a grounding terminal. Inside the box, a switching circuit is installed, and a plastic circuit breaker is used to protect the tap-off lines from overloads and short circuits.)
Waterproof Busbar Tray Manufacturer: Precautions During the Installation of Waterproof Busbar Trays
Busbar trunking systems are widely used in modern construction projects as essential electrical components. There are several precautions to observe during their storage and installation. When storing busbar trunking systems, please place them in a dry location—avoid any moisture. If placing them directly on the ground, be sure to lay down boards underneath. Additionally, never store them standing upright next to other objects. Before installation, the exterior of the busbar trunking system is covered with a protective film; please remove this film only after the installation is complete.
During the installation process, verify that the installation production line conforms to the design specifications. Inspect the production line for any faults, heat sources, or water leaks. Before installation, perform insulation resistance tests on the busbar trunking of each unit. Check the connections for dirt, dust, and other foreign objects. When lifting the busbar trunking, place cardboard or boards underneath it to prevent damage or deformation to the trunking casing. When arranging multiple rows of busbar trunking, ensure that the spacing between them is at least 150 mm to guarantee adequate heat dissipation.
