Qinshan Cable’s Wang Qinwei Model Worker and Craftsman Innovation Studio has been selected for the first batch of Zhejiang Province’s Model Worker and Craftsman Innovation Studios within the National Defense Science and Technology Industry System.

On December 11, 2023, the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions and the Provincial Office of National Defense Science and Technology Industry announced the first list of model worker and artisan innovation studios within Zhejiang Province’s national defense science and technology industry system. Qinshan Cable’s Wang Qinwei Model Worker and Craftsman Innovation Studio On the list—successfully selected.

The Qinshan Cable Wang Qinwei Model Worker and Craftsman Innovation Studio is led by the company’s General Manager, Led by Senior Engineer Wang Qinwei, guided by the principle of strengthening the country and enriching the people through Party building, we are intensifying efforts to cultivate doctoral-level specialists. Through project exchanges and collaboration between the company’s technical team and external partners, we’ve broadened communication channels and strengthened talent development via diverse approaches, enabling our talent pool to grow in a stepwise manner. This, in turn, drives technological advancement and quality improvement within the company, fostering a technically skilled team with a well-structured composition and mutual synergies. Currently, the studio’s technical team comprises over 30 members, who specialize in the research and development of specialized wires and cables tailored for extreme environments, featuring unique performance characteristics and specialized structures. Leveraging the innovative studio, we’ve successfully implemented patented technologies—including real-time defect-detection systems for manufacturing pressure- and heat-resistant cables and tensile-testing devices for insulation-type power-control cables. Our patented products, such as intelligent-control cables, low-smoke, halogen-free, high-performance cables resistant to rodents and ants, high-performance radiation-crosslinked flame-retardant wires, and smart, temperature-sensitive, highly flexible cables with ventilation and heat-dissipation capabilities, have been introduced to the market and have received positive feedback from customers with specialized needs.

Next, the Wang Qinwei Model Worker and Craftsman Innovation Studio will further promote the spirit of model workers and the craftsman spirit, pressing forward with vigor and unwavering dedication. By benchmarking against European and German standards, the studio will focus on innovative research and development as well as technical exchanges in the fields of extreme environments and unique performance characteristics for wires and cables, thereby making contributions to such areas as environmental protection, extreme environments, nuclear power, military applications, and national security!
